We use Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encryption to protect your personal information. Credit Card payments are processed through the Paypal (tm) Credit card portal for additional security. PayPal is designed from the ground up to be one of the safest ways to send money online. Using the Secure Paypal portal, your credit card information is never shared with Fret City. A Paypal account or registration is NOT required.
Fret City Music accepts payments by the following methods : Paypal : At checkout you will be redirected to the Paypal Gateway. If you already have a Paypal account you can log into Paypal to complete the transaction. If you don't have a Paypal account you can pay by Credit Card through the same Paypal Gateway (Paypal account not required). See "Credit Card Payments" below.
Credit Card Payments : To pay by Credit Card please use the Paypal option. A Paypal account is NOT REQUIRED. At checkout you will be redirected to the Paypal portal. Once inside the PayPal portal just click on the prompt "Don't have a PayPal account?" (See the red box in the example screenshot below.) Credit Card processing is immediate and secure. We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover cards. In the interest of cardholder protection and to avoid chargeback risk to us, we reserve the option to cancel orders for delivery to an unverified address or orders that Fret City considers suspicious.
Interac E-mail transfer (Canadian Banks only) : If you have a web banking account with any Canadian Bank, you can use the Interac e-mail payment. It's secure and easy. If you haven't used Interac e-mail payment, the website Certapay.com tells you how it works. At checkout just select the Interac option, send us payment via Interac e-mail and Fret City will ship your order upon receipt of the Interac transfer. It only takes a few minutes. HyperWallet E-mail transfer : See Hyperwallet.com At checkout just select the Interac/Hyperwallet option, send us payment via e-mail and Fret City will ship your order upon receipt of the transfer. Money Order : Money Orders are accepted for payment. If you live outside Canada please make sure you send us an International Money (Payable at a Canadian bank).
Gift Certificates : Fret City gift certificates can be purchased through our web site using the above payment methods. To buy a certificate, click on the "Add to Cart" link in the gift certificates menu (left-hand bar on our web page). A special code is issued for each gift certificate which can be redeemed full or in part against a purchase. The purchaser of a gift certificate has the option of sending a virtual Certificate to the recipient via e-mail, or sending a physical certificate (see sample below) by Canada Post. In the case of sending a physical certificate by Canada Post, Fret City will mail the certificate to the address you specify. i.e. It can be mailed to you (the purchaser) or direct to the gift recipient.
To pay for Fret City merchandise using a gift certificate, simply add the items you wish to purchase into your Shopping Cart, then at the Checkout Screen, select the gift certificate payment option. If a gift certificate value is partly used against a purchase of a lower total value, the balance remaining is updated on our system. You can check the current value and status of a gift certificate by using the "verify certificate" link in the Customer Zone. If the total order is higher than the gift certificate value, then the customer has the option of paying the remaining value using any of the above payment methods.
